Baseball's greatest weekend will celebrate the careers of three new Hall of Fame inductees while introducing a new lineup of family-friendly activities, as Hall of Fame Weekend 2010 will take place July 23-26 in Cooperstown, N.Y.

Eight-time All-Star outfielder Andre Dawson, long-time umpire Doug Harvey and six-time division-winning manager Whitey Herzog will join the roster of baseball's all-time greats on Sunday, July 25, as they are inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The addition of Dawson, Harvey and Herzog brings to 292 the number of men and women elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

As part of this historic event, Anthony Gargiula will take his place in history by not only singing the national anthem but becoming the youngest person ever to sing the national anthem as part of hall of Fame Weekend. This could prove to also become a Guinness Book Of World Records moment.

Hall of Fame Weekend 2010 will take place July 23-26 in Cooperstown.

The Induction Ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 25 at the Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown. Admission is free and open to the public. The Ceremony, which will also be televised on the MLB Network, lasts approximately three hours and will feature the induction speeches of Dawson, Harvey and Herzog. Also during the Ceremony, two awards will be presented. Bill Madden of the New York Daily News will receive the 2010 J.G. Taylor Spink Award for meritorious contributions to baseball writing. Jon Miller, voice of the San Francisco Giants and ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball, will receive the 2010 Ford C. Frick Award for excellence in baseball broadcasting.
