True to its roots, and dating back to the beginning of William Middlebrooks’ learning to play the piano in 1973 at age four (4), FMC remains a creative, entrepreneurial and artist-focused music company.

FMC strategically will build and acquire independent labels that collectively encompass a global roster of vibrant artists and a diverse catalog of some of the world's most interesting recordings.

FMC also provides sales, marketing and distribution services for physical and digital, and audio and video products, both to its own labels and signed independent labels. In addition, FMC operates through numerous affiliates and licensees in more than 10 countries.

Digital Strategy

Since the beginnings of William Middlebrooks’ executive career - when he started as an intern at CBS/Epic Records in 1990 – he has strived to find better ways of connecting artists and fans by embracing the latest delivery technologies and the most innovative product, sales and distribution strategies.

Today, FMC is a creative leader in the recorded music industry's transition to digital, managing a variety of music-based content that is marketed, promoted and distributed over a wide array of online and mobile platforms.

360° Strategy

At FMC our artists are at the center of everything we do. Our so-called "360° strategy" is based upon a desire to be fully aligned with our artists in every facet of their careers. Our music services capabilities allow FMC to broaden the conventional artist relationship to one that more fully supports the artists on our roster. Due to our broad based range of resources, we create closer and more fruitful partnerships centered around long-term artist development.

Artists at FMC sign "expanded rights" agreements or "360° deals," as they are sometimes known. Under these deals, we provide services to artists outside the recorded music business and participate economically in an artist's activities outside the recorded music business. Also, artists invest into themselves, allowing them to have greater direct financial benefit from their careers. 360° deals create more of a partnership with our artists which allows us to work together more closely to create and sustain artistic and commercial success.
